The Jane Show

The Jane Show stars Second City Alumna Teresa Pavlinek (History Bites, The Sean Cullen Show) as 'Jane Black', a 30-something novelist who's foregone her dreams of being a novelist in order to join the 'normal' nine-to-five world - only to discover it's anything but.

We laughed (and sometimes cringed) as Jane traversed the bizarre rules and rituals of office life. By the end of season one, Jane made it through her first six months in the nine-to-five work world, alongside her annoyingly perfect friend 'Susan' (Patricia Zentilli, Made in Canda), not-so-secret admirer 'Walton' (Darren Boyd, Imagine Me and You), neurotic boss 'Stella' (Kate Trotter, Lives of the Saints), and a team of marginally dysfunctional co-workers played by Hardee T. Lineham (Storm Of The Century) as 'Cary', and musician Andrew Misle of Sugakane (Chasing Freedom) as office slacker 'Iggy'.

Joining the team of sales reps at "Spirits" is the recently promoted 'Desmond', played by Nigel Shawn Williams (The Famous Jett Jackson).

In season two, the series continues to satirize the status quo by showing Jane's struggle to fit into the mold of a 21st Century 30-something woman. She now has to cope with "normal" life and the new work community who have become her friends. The series explores Jane's relationships with her co-workers in and outside of the office environment, and delves into Jane's personal life.
